MCPLA Meeting Minutes
May 2, 2017

Milwaukee County Parks Office


Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by President John Haeflinger. In attendance were officers and directors

representing the following MCPLA clubs:

              Brown Deer – 2                Currie – 1                       Dretzka –1              Grant – 2

              Greenfield - 0                    Oakwood –1                  Whitnall - 4                                        


Motion Made, seconded and carried to approve the minutes from the April 4, 2017 MCPLA meeting


Treasurer: Ken Lauffer:

Operating Account                           $2,111.04

              CAP Fund Account                         $11,343.07

              Checkbook Balance                         $14,464.11

              The checkbook is reconciled through April 30, 2017


1st Team:

Report not provided

Opening competition at Currie GC cancelled and re-scheduled for September 23, 2017                   


2nd Team: Brian Pederson, MCPLA 2nd Team Director:

Opening competition May 6 at Grant GC


Tournaments: Bob Freuck, Tournament Director:

Senior/Mid-Am: May 20-21, 2017 @ Grant GC

              40 entries to-date (5 Mid-Am)

              Discussion regarding elimination of Mid-Am designation in future    

Arnold B. Walker Championship:  August 26-27 @ Whitnall


John Haeflinger:

42nd NIMAGA: September 23, 2017 @ Evergreen GC

*Need major encouragement within MCPLA clubs regarding participation in A.B. Walker & NIMAGA tournaments

Symetra Tournament August 4-6, 2017 at Brown Deer GC

Volunteers needed: Contact John Haeflinger for additional information



MCPLA clubs encouraged to discuss potential needs with Club PGA pros where Cap Fund may be in a position to assist funding
