MCPLA Meeting Minutes
August 5, 2014
Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by President John Haeflinger. In attendance were officers and directors representing the following MCPLA clubs:
Currie – 2 Brown Deer – 3 Dretzka – 0 Grant – 2 Greenfield - 0 Oakwood – 2 Whitnall - 1
Ken Lauffer, Treasurer provided the Treasurer's Report:
Operating Account $7,420.29
CAP Fund Account $16,596.77
Checkbook balance $24,017.06
1st Team Report lacking as a 1st Team Team Director has not as yet been determined.
2nd Team Director Brian Pederson provided the 2nd Team report. Currie is in first place followed by Greenfield and Brown Deer.
Tournament Director Bob Freuk reported that the 2014 Arnold Walker County Championship Tournament (August 23-24) seriously needs low handicapped participants.
President John Haeflinger reported:
NIMAGA will be played on September 20, 2014. Motion made, seconded and approved to purchase Tee Gifts for the MCPLA participants, cost approx. $150.00.
Vice President Bob Cohn reported that the MCPLA Worker's tournament will be played on September 7 at Currie Golf Course.
CAP FUND REQUEST follow-up:
Motion made, seconded and carried to purchase a score board for Currie golf Course. Full cost ($2,364.38) to be paid for with MCPLA funds. Milwaukee County is responsible for installation.
No formal requests from Milwaukee County.
President John Haeflinger shared his intention to combine the September MCPLA meeting and Schedule Meeting into one meeting.
Vice President Bob Cohn raised a question with regards to the validity of a yearly MCPLA
Worker's tournament as there were only 12 participants in 2013. A brief discussion followed.
Motion made, seconded and approved to adjourn.
